Principal filming started in October 2018, with the production team jetting off to Hyderabad, Georgia, and Italy before wrapping up in July 2021.

Interestingly, the movie was originally produced in both Telugu and Hindi languages simultaneously, with later confirmation that it will premiere in Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages as well.

The improvements in cinematography and CG animation can be seen in the most-recent trailer for Radhe Shyam. Uploaded to the T-Series YouTube channel on March 2nd, the trailer already has almost half a million views in less than an hour!

Radhe Shyam was originally scheduled to release in theatres in late-July 2021, but like so many cinema projects from around the world, had to be delayed because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Fellow lead actor Prabhas would then take to social media to share the official promotional poster for Radhe Shyam, confirming that a new release date had been set for January 14th, 2022 – coining with the Sankranthi festival.

Unfortunately, on December 5th, 2021, it was then confirmed that the targeted release date had been pushed back once again, barring to the surge in Omicron cases.

Pooja Hedge explained on Twitter that “We have to postpone the release of our film #RadheShyam due to the ongoing covid situation.”

Radhe Shyam was supposed to hit the screens on Sankranti, January 14. Due to the rise in Omicron cases in India, many theatres were operating at 50 per cent occupancy, while a few were shut. Hence, the makers decided to postpone the release of Radhe Shyam.
